CODEX REGIUS A manuscript found in the 17th century in a farmhouse in Iceland and presented by Bishop Brynjolfur Sveinsson to the king of Den-mark, where it was part of the royal collection for sev-eral centuries. About one-half of this collection is the poems that make up the poetic edda, a primary source of stories and information on Norse mythol-ogy. The manuscript was preserved in the Royal Library in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is now pre-served in Iceland.
