NAGLFAR Conveyance Made of Nails The ship made from dead men's nails. It carried the giants into battle against the gods at ragnarok. Naglfafs size would depend on how many men had been buried with unpared fingernails. According to snorri sturluson, an ancient superstition said that the nails of the dead must be cut to keep the size of the fatal ship small and thus give the gods a better chance in battle.
